Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains, in plain language, what the AlarmDare early-access waitlist collects, why, and how it is processed and stored.
About this policy
AlarmDare operates the alarmdare.com prelaunch website and early-access waitlist. This policy explains how personal data submitted through the waitlist is handled.
The AlarmDare mobile application remains in development. Mobile-app privacy terms will be published, or this policy will be updated, before the application launches.
Information provided through the waitlist
When you submit the waitlist form, you provide the following. Required: your full name, your email address, and your primary device (iPhone, Android, Both, or Not sure yet). Optional, only if you choose to share them: your phone number and your country or region.
AlarmDare does not ask you to submit alarm schedules, health information, medication details, precise location, passwords, device identifiers, payment information, photographs, camera frames or microphone recordings. Please do not send this kind of information through the waitlist or any other part of this site.
Limited technical data used for abuse prevention
To protect the waitlist from abuse, the website server reads the connecting IP address from standard forwarding headers and uses it as an in-memory rate-limit key to restrict repeated submission attempts.
The IP address is not added to the Google Form response and is not part of the five-field waitlist record. The application does not persist it in an AlarmDare database. The limiter operates through one-minute rate-limit windows, and expired entries are reset or evicted as the in-memory limiter operates.
Purpose of processing
Submitted information is used only to register your early-access interest, to contact you about AlarmDare early access and launch availability, to understand broad platform interest through your primary-device choice, to understand broad geographical interest when you supply your country or region, to operate, secure and protect the waitlist, and to respond to privacy and waitlist requests.
AlarmDare does not sell waitlist information, does not use it for advertising profiles, and does not use it for unrelated marketing.
Consent and withdrawal
Submitting the form is an affirmative request to join the AlarmDare early-access list, and the supplied information is processed for the waitlist purposes described in this policy.
You may withdraw from the waitlist at any time by emailing hello@alarmdare.com. Withdrawal does not affect processing already completed before the request was received.
How submissions are processed and stored
Your browser submits the form to a same-origin AlarmDare server endpoint. The server applies validation and abuse protection, then forwards accepted details through an authenticated Google Apps Script bridge to the dedicated AlarmDare Google Form.
The browser does not receive the private Apps Script URL or the shared secret. Accepted responses are stored through the dedicated AlarmDare Google Form. A success message appears only after the backend confirms a real stored response; failed submissions are not presented as successful, and your entered values remain available in the form after a recoverable failure.
Service providers
AlarmDare uses Hostinger for website hosting, and Google Apps Script and Google Forms for the waitlist bridge and response storage. See the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and the Hostinger Privacy Policy (https://www.hostinger.com/legal/privacy-policy).
Genuine aggregate counter
The website may display the genuine total number of stored Form responses. This count is aggregate only: it does not reveal names, email addresses, phone numbers, device selections, regions or anyone's individual answers.
The count is read from the Google Form and is not seeded, offset, estimated or fabricated. When the count cannot be loaded, the number is simply not shown.
Retention and deletion
Waitlist information is retained only while needed to operate the early-access list, to send relevant AlarmDare early-access or launch communications, to respond to requests, and to meet applicable legal obligations.
You may request deletion or withdraw by emailing hello@alarmdare.com. Information will be deleted or anonymised when no longer required for those purposes, except where retention is required by applicable law.
Individual rights and requests
You may contact AlarmDare to request access to your waitlist information, correction or updating, deletion, withdrawal from the waitlist, information about how your waitlist data is handled, grievance resolution, or nomination of another individual to exercise applicable rights in the event of death or incapacity, where applicable.
Please send requests from the email address you used to join the waitlist so the corresponding record can be identified securely, to hello@alarmdare.com.
Grievances and the Data Protection Board
Privacy and waitlist grievances can be submitted to hello@alarmdare.com, and AlarmDare will use that contact channel to address the grievance.
After using AlarmDare's grievance process, you may use the official complaint mechanism of the Data Protection Board of India where applicable.
Security
Submissions are protected by a same-origin server API boundary, server-side validation, input normalisation and length limits, a 4 KB request-size limit, a honeypot and in-memory rate limiting. The Apps Script bridge is authenticated, credentials are kept server-only, redirects are restricted to Google serving hosts, no personal data is logged in Apps Script, and private backend credentials are never exposed to the browser.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Analytics, advertising and cookies
The current prelaunch website does not include analytics scripts, does not include advertising trackers, and does not use tracking cookies.
Planned mobile-application data
The planned AlarmDare application is designed for on-device processing of body-pose detection, photo recognition and speech recognition. The website waitlist does not collect mission photographs, camera frames or microphone recordings.
The AlarmDare application is not currently available.
Policy changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated as AlarmDare develops. The current version will be published on this page with its updated date.
