AlarmDare

Built for heavy sleepers

Wake up on the first alarm.

Choose a mission before bed. When AlarmDare rings, complete it to silence the alarm.

Prelaunch · Coming to iPhone and Android

  • Mission required to dismiss
  • Scheduled backup-alarm chain
  • Camera-verified missions
  • Wake Up Check after you finish

The problem

Ordinary alarms are too easy to dismiss

Heavy sleepers do not need a louder beep — they need a reason to get out of bed.

Half-asleep dismissal

When an ordinary alarm rings, many heavy sleepers silence it almost automatically — without ever fully waking up.

The snooze spiral

Repeated snoozing fragments the morning and pushes the real wake-up later and later.

Loud is not enough

A louder sound alone does not wake you if it can still be switched off with one sleepy tap.

Friction chosen the night before

Rules you pick while awake add useful friction, so dismissing the alarm takes real effort.

How it works

Three steps between you and getting up

You set the rules while you are awake. In the morning, AlarmDare holds you to them.

  1. Set an alarm and choose a mission

While you are awake, pick your alarm time, repeat days and the mission you will complete.

  2. AlarmDare rings at the scheduled time

At the set time the alarm rings and presents your chosen mission.

  3. Complete the mission to silence it

Finish the mission chain to stop the alarm and the scheduled backup alarms.

Missions

A mission for every kind of sleeper

Movement, photo, thinking, speech and classic missions — pick one, or stack several.

Movement missions

Get your body moving. Exercise repetitions and holds are counted through live body-pose detection — push-ups, squats and other movement missions are completed through detected movement rather than a manual “done” button. Steps and shaking use the device motion sensors, and smile and pose challenges are detected by the camera.

  • Push-ups
  • Squats
  • Sit-ups
  • Jumping jacks
  • High knees
  • Plank
  • Squat hold
  • Dance
  • Steps
  • Shake
  • Smile challenge
  • Pose challenge

Photo-verification missions

Get out of bed and photograph the target. Photo missions use on-device image recognition — object and location photographs are checked against the requested target, so a photo of your pillow will not pass for the sky.

  • Make your bed
  • Object hunt
  • Touch grass
  • Pet hunt
  • Sky photo
  • Custom photo target

Thinking missions

Wake your brain up with maths problems, memory games, flags, language questions, drawing, or a verse challenge from the Bhagavad Gita, Bible, or another sacred text.

  • Maths problems
  • Memory game
  • Guess the flag
  • Language quiz
  • Gita Verse
  • Bible Verse
  • Other Sacred Verses
  • Draw

Speech and fun missions

Say it or show it. Speech missions listen for the required spoken response — say a tongue twister out loud, or recreate a meme for the camera.

  • Tongue twister
  • Recreate a meme

Classic AlarmDare missions

Precise, deliberate actions. Retype a displayed phrase accurately, scan a registered QR code, or scan a registered product barcode.

  • Retype a phrase
  • Scan a QR code
  • Scan a barcode

Tune every mission

  • Configurable difficulty

Tune how hard each mission is.

  • Configurable repetition count

Set how many times a mission must be completed.

  • Test before saving

Run a practice mission before you rely on it.

  • Stack missions sequentially

    Chain several missions in sequence.

  • Different chains per alarm

Give each alarm its own mission chain.

Mission stacking

One swipe is easy. A chain is not.

Sequential missions add far more friction than a single sleepy swipe.

  1. Shake

    30 times

  2. Maths

    3 problems

  3. Bathroom QR

    scan

Shake 30 times → solve three maths problems → scan the bathroom QR code. You can give different alarms different mission chains.

Anti-snooze

A chain of backup alarms

Silencing one alarm is never the end. The next one is already queued.

Silencing one ring is not enough

AlarmDare pre-schedules a chain of backup alarms on your device. Silencing one alarm stops only that individual ring — the next alarm is already queued.

Closing the app does not cancel it

The scheduled chain lives on the device, so closing or swiping away the app does not cancel the alarms you set.

Missions stop the chain

Completing your configured mission chain stops the remaining alarms. Until then, the chain keeps firing.

Volume buttons are not a way out

Turning the volume down does not permanently defeat the alarm flow.

Rules you set while awake

No-snooze mode

Turn snooze off entirely so the only way out is through the mission.

Limited snooze

Allow a set number of snoozes with a configurable snooze duration.

Strict Mode

Strict Mode preserves the rules you selected before sleep, so they are harder to change half-asleep.

Emergency exit

A deliberately difficult emergency exit is available for genuine emergencies — not for sleepy dismissals.

Wake Up Check

Silencing the alarm is not the finish line

After you complete the mission chain, Wake Up Check follows up to confirm you stayed up.

  1. Mission chain completed

You finish the mission chain and the alarm chain stops.

  2. A configured interval passes

AlarmDare waits for the interval you chose while awake.

  3. Wake Up Check asks you to confirm

A Wake Up Check asks you to confirm you have not gone back to sleep.

  4. Ignoring it restarts the flow

If the check is ignored, the alarm and mission flow restarts.

Streaks & achievements

Verification

Verified by your device, not a tap

Camera, photo, motion and speech missions are checked on your phone.

Camera repetition counting

Exercise repetitions are counted through live body-pose detection. Push-ups, squats and other movement missions are completed through detected movement rather than a manual “done” button.

On-device photo recognition

Photo missions use on-device image recognition. Object and location photographs are checked against the requested target.

Speech recognition

Speech missions listen for the required spoken response.

Motion sensors

Steps and shaking use the device motion sensors.

Body-pose detection, photo recognition and speech recognition all run on your device. Mission photos, camera frames and microphone audio remain on your phone and are not uploaded.

Health integrations

Apple Health integration

Connect Apple Health to see your sleep alongside your wake-up progress.

Inside AlarmDare

See exactly how AlarmDare gets you up

Set an alarm, choose or stack missions, and complete the challenge to stop the alarm chain.

Your morning at a glance

Every alarm, and what it will ask of you

The home screen shows your next alarm, whether it is armed, the days it repeats and the exact mission chain waiting for you.

  • Next alarm with countdown and repeat schedule
  • The mission chain attached to each alarm
  • Current wake-up streak and last completion

Set the rules while you're awake

Build the alarm, then stack the missions

Choose the time, days, sound and rising volume, turn off snooze, then chain as many missions as you want — in the order you want them.

  • Time, repeat days, label, sound and rising volume
  • No-snooze mode kept in place by Strict Mode
  • Reorder missions and test the chain before saving
  • Different alarms can use different chains

Camera-verified missions

Reps counted by your phone, not by a button

Movement missions run on live body-pose detection. The camera has to actually see you complete each repetition — there is no shortcut tap.

  • Live rep counting for push-ups, squats and more
  • Pose guidance keeps you in frame
  • Body-pose detection runs on your device
  • Camera frames stay on your phone and are not uploaded

Photo missions

Get up and prove where you are

Photo missions ask for a specific target and check it with on-device image recognition, so an unrelated photo will not pass.

  • Targets such as the sky, your made bed or a pet
  • Image recognition confirms the requested target
  • Recognition runs on your device
  • Mission photos stay on your phone and are not uploaded

Staying up, not just getting up

Wake Up Check, then a record you can see

After the chain is done, Wake Up Check follows up on your chosen interval. Ignore it and the alarm and mission flow restarts. Every morning is recorded.

  • Timed follow-up you must answer
  • No response restarts the alarm and mission chain
  • Streak, completion history and missed mornings
  • Response times and morning consistency
